Adam Hickox made his Glyndebourne debut this autumn conducting Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, and in 2022 was Assistant Conductor for the Festival's Poulenc Double Bill. As Principal Conductor of the Glyndebourne Sinfonia, he will return to conduct opera productions, as well as concert performances, as part of the autumn seasons in 2024 and 2025.

Since graduating from the Academy in 2019, Adam Hickox has made his debut with orchestras across Europe including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestre de Paris and Gävle Symphony Orchestra, and in 2022 completed his tenure as Assistant Conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. In opera, Adam has conducted performances of Tosca with Opera North and a new production of Hansel and Gretel at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire.
