Dave Holland and Chris Potter residency - Academy Big Band

The Royal Academy of Music Big Band gave its inaugural concert in the Susie Sainsbury Theatre at the beginning of 2019, the culmination of a week-long residency with Jazz Artist in Residence, bassist Dave Holland and Visiting Professor of Jazz, saxophonist Chris Potter.

Renowned throughout the world and with countless awards between them, these two musical legends have a relationship extending back more than 25 years.

Described by London Jazz News as ‘a vibrant and exhilarating night of sounds’, this was a very special sold-out gig for the Big Band.
