Andrea Balency-Béarn is a composer and performer based in London. Shaped by her Mexican heritage and French upbringing, she treats every project as an exploration of something new, and her process is often informed by her fascination with the visual arts, resulting in refined textures and expressive lines.
Born in Paris and raised in Mexico City, she has written music and collaborated across a variety of ensembles and disciplines, including film and dance. After touring as a performer for several years, she began working as a film composer in 2020 and focusing on concert music while studying for a Master’s degree at the Academy. Besides her career as a composer, she performs as a member of UK band Mount Kimbie.
