ELGAR Falstaff, Op 68

Sir Mark Elder, Conductor Emeritus of the Hallé and Principal Guest Conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, returns to the Academy for a programme of Sibelius’ Sixth Symphony and Elgar’s Falstaff, which portrays Shakespeare’s buffoonish character in the style of a symphonic poem.
