Academy clarinettists collaborate with students from other departments in a range of chamber music, including Harrison Birtwistle’s impassioned lament for Orpheus – scored for soprano, three bass clarinets, crotales and piano – as well as the premiere of a new piece by composition student Zhen Tian.
