Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States’ Declaration of Independence, Visiting Professor of Modern Ensembles Colin Currie conducts and performs alongside Academy students in music by three American pioneers.

From the spatial sound world of Varèse’s Intégrales to the playful minimalism of Reich’s Music for Pieces of Wood and beyond, this concert traces nearly a century of musical innovation from the USA.
