The Academy Wind Ensemble presents a fresh take on a beloved fugue composed by Bach – a then up-and-coming organist in the German town of Arnstadt. After Shores arrangement of Strauss’ sultry Dance of the Seven Veils, we jump to 1943 and his Sonatina 1 in F, written when the composer was almost 80.
