Application fees

For entry in September 2019, the Academy application fees payable to UCAS Conservatoires are:

Application fee for Musical Theatre auditions in London: £76.

Application fee for Conducting and Choral Conducting auditions in London, and for the Continuing Professional Development diploma course: £100

Application fee for all other London auditions including video: £100 or £115 after the advertised closing date.

Application fee for auditions in North America, Australia or Asia: £150 sterling.

There is also a £25 UCAS Conservatoires registration fee.

If you withdraw before attending the audition, you will not be entitled to a refund unless you completely withdraw your UCAS Conservatoires application within 14 days of submitting it and in that circumstance UCAS Conservatoires will refund your payment directly to you. Applications submitted after the advertised deadline must pay the late fee and may be placed on a waiting list for an audition; if no space becomes available and we are therefore unable to offer an audition, the fee will be returned.

Application fee waivers

Our assessment fee waivers are granted to candidates who are in receipt of certain government benefits or if the candidates’ parents receive the benefits when the candidate is under 21 years of age. These benefits may include the 16-19 Bursary Fund or EMA, Disabled Students Allowance, Universal Credit, Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance, or Tax Credits.

If you are in receipt of any such benefits, please could you submit documentary evidence (scanned into an email, up to 10Mb per message) to admissions@ram.ac.uk, or alternatively please send a photocopy to the Academy’s Registry Office together with a covering letter quoting your UCAS Conservatoires personal ID number so that we can match the documents to the application.

UCAS states that you should not submit your UCAS Conservatoires application until your waiver has been agreed. Please allow at least 5 working days for your request to be processed.

www.ucas.com/ucas/conservatoires/apply-and-track/conservatoire-auditions contains advice about this, under "Will you have difficulties paying". You will need to pay the UCAS Conservatoires registration fee, because that cannot be waived.

We regret that assessments for our application fee waivers cannot be made after the audition has taken place.
