The Guitar department’s objective is to provide you with a course of advanced professional training that is as comprehensive as possible.

Audition requirements

If you are interested in a Continuing Professional Development Diploma, relevant audition information can be found directly beneath this list.

The auditions will be held during mid-to-late February; the date and time will be confirmed during January through your UCAS Conservatoires Hub. You will need to:

  • Prepare a piece of your own choice, of not more than 7 minutes
  • Take part in a group improvisation

This will be followed by an interview.

You should also send a CV and Personal Statement by email to by the deadline, no later than 18:00 UK time on 20 January 2023.

In your personal statement (c.500 words) please summarise your career to date, and explain your interest in taking this course and how it will support you in your future career.

By applying for this course you will be consenting to the Academy running an Enhanced DBS check to ensure that you are suitable for working with young people and vulnerable adults. Acceptance on the course will be conditional on this being completed satisfactorily.
