requirements

Due to COVID-19, if your application requires an audition, the first round will now be by video. For further details please see the video audition section.

These requirements are for students auditioning to start their studies at the Academy in September 2022. Until specified otherwise, these requirements also apply for auditions in future years. Some audition requirements may change: please check back here regularly. You are welcome to contact the Admissions Team or the department administrator if you have any queries.

Audition Requirements

A programme of contrasting pieces of your own choice; this can be entirely original works for accordion or can contain one or two transcriptions.

Programme duration: 20 minutes for Undergraduate candidates, 30 minutes for Postgraduate candidates.

You must upload one unedited video of the complete programme.

Written Work for Advanced Diploma

Please upload the following items into your Acceptd profile:

  • a repertoire list and recording portfolio (text list of recordings, with links and/or discs/USB where possible)
  • your ideas for the year, including a list of professional engagements to which you are already committed
