This short video introduces the Sorrell Women Conductors Programme.
The course, held over four weekends, is aimed at women who are considering applying for a Master’s in orchestral conducting. Participants are invited to a first weekend, typically held in the autumn, which gives them the chance to enhance their craft and develop wider skills in musical and personal leadership. Several are then taken forward for three subsequent weekends of training.
The programme began in 2018 and is led by the Academy’s Head of Conducting, Sian Edwards.
