Alexandra Vaduva and Anna Szałucka perform an excerpt from Ravel’s vibrant piano duet, Rapsodie espagnole.

Best known in its orchestral arrangement, Rapsodie espagnole was originally composed for two pianos. It is one of several works by Ravel that explore his Spanish heritage – he grew up in a Basque town with a French father and Spanish mother.

This performance took place at the 2015 Piano Festival, a concert series presented in June every year by our Head of Piano, Joanna MacGregor.
