Pierce holds a BA (Hons) in Music from the University of Oxford. Whilst there, he was Principal Tenor Scholar at Lady Margaret Hall (LMH) and played Damon and understudied Acis in Acis and Galatea (2022). In amateur dramatics, Pierce has played roles including Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera, Tony in West Side Story, Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde, and on two occasions, Marius in Les Misérables. Pierce hails from Derry in Northern Ireland, and for his 2016 portrayal of Marius in The Grand Opera House, Belfast, he was awarded an Association of Irish Music Societies Award for Best Male Vocalist. He also received a nomination in the same category for his portrayal of the Phantom in 2017.
