Soprano Nina Korbe is studying for an MA under Kate Paterson and Raymond Connell

She is the proud recipient of an ABRSM International Postgraduate Scholarship, an International Student House Residential Scholarship, a Lord Mayors’ Young and Emerging Artists Fellowship and a grant from the Ian Potter Cultural Trust.

Nina has performed with Opera Queensland as part of the chorus for its productions of La bohème, Die Fledermaus, Il barbiere de Siviglia, Peter Grimes and Verdi's Requiem. She was the guest soloist for Queensland Youth Orchestra’s regional tour, and made her solo debut on the Queensland Performing Arts Centre Concert Hall stage as a featured guest for Brisbane Sings 2019.

When she graduated in 2019 from the Bachelor of Music Performance course at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, she was awarded the Griffith University Academic Excellence Award and the Linda Edith Allen Vocal Scholarship. While studying, she was under the guidance of Associate Professor Margaret Schindler and performed many lead roles in university operas, including Arminda in La finta giardiniera and Héro in Béatrice et Bénédict.
