Soprano Kathleen Nic Dhiarmada is studying with Kate Paterson, Raymond Connell and Ingrid Surgenor.

She completed her MA in Vocal Studies at the Academy, graduating with Distinction, and is delighted to be continuing her studies with Royal Academy Opera, with the support of the Carr-Gregory Trust Award.

Kathleen has performed the roles of Musetta in La bohème (Hampstead Garden Opera) and the title roles in L’incoronazione di Poppea (Ensemble OrQuesta) and Susanna (DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama). She has performed the soprano solo in Fauré’s Requiem (Dún Laoghaire Choral Society), Haydn’s Creation (Armagh City Choir) and Mozart’s C minor Mass (English Baroque Choir).

She performed the role of Helena in Royal Academy Opera’s semi-staged production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in November, and covered Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte this spring.
