Isabella coaches regularly at the major UK opera companies and music colleges
Isabella was born in London of Anglo-Italian parents and grew up bilingual in Italian and English. She studied Music and Modern Languages at Durham University before training as an Italian Language Coach at the National Opera Studio with Maria Cleva. Having studied voice with Ruth Holton, Isabella has sung in small and large choruses including New London Chamber Choir, London Oratory Junior Choir and London Philharmonic Chorus.
Isabella coaches regularly at Glyndebourne, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, Garsington Opera, Opera North, British Youth Opera, Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, National Opera Studio, the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at Covent Garden, Wales International Academy of Voice, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Associated Studios, Gabrieli Consort and King’s Consort.
She has also worked for the music record labels Harmonia Mundi and Linn Records, for BBC2’s TV programme Maestro and a pilot for a new Glyndebourne Academy directed by Mary King. Isabella is the director of the Italian Opera Summer School based in Puglia, southeastern Italy.
She was awarded Garsington Opera's Leonard Ingrams Award in 2010 and was made an Honorary Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2018.
