Felix is working towards a MA in Musical Direction and Coaching at the Royal Academy of Music, having recently completed a BA (Hons) in Music at the University of Cambridge in 2023.
At the Academy, Felix has relished the opportunity to work as musical director for the new project Boundless as the Sea, a Shakespeare mashup featuring jazz standards and golden age standards. Working closely with writer/director Owen Horsley, he contributed composition and arrangements to this exciting new project. Felix also enjoyed co-orchestrating and assistant music-directing Cy Baby: A Celebration of Cy Coleman at the Academy, and is looking forward to music-directing Spring Awakening in the summer.
Felix has music-directed productions of his own writing, including The Herb Garden (Corpus Playroom, 2023) and Antigone: the Musical, which he co-composed with a friend (Edinburgh Fringe, 2022). Outside of theatre, he is a piano teacher and has had compositions performed by the Girton College Orchestra and Choir. He has also enjoyed collaborating in performance and recording with singer-songwriters Emily Storm and Mina Esya.
