David White

He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford and made his debut performance on Broadway at the age of 23 as Musical Director of New Sadler's Wells Opera. As a young classically-trained conductor and repetiteur, he was spotted by Cameron Mackintosh, who made him the youngest Musical Director of a West End show on the world’s most successful musical, Les Miserables.

As Musical Supervisor/Musical Director, he has worked on Les Miserables (Musical Director and Musical Supervisor London production, Musical Supervisor UK Tours and many of its foreign productions all over the world including Stockholm, Paris, Buenos Aires, Madrid), Martin Guerre (Musical Supervisor and Vocal Arrangements West End), Sunset Boulevard (Original Musical Director and Musical Supervisor and Vocal Arrangements West End, Musical Supervisor Niedernhausen, Germany), Phantom Of The Opera (Musical Supervisor UK Tour), My Fair Lady (Musical Supervisor, Arranger and Vocal Arrangements Royal National Theatre and West End), South Pacific (Musical Supervisor, Arranger and Vocal Arrangements Royal National Theatre), The Witches of Eastwick (Original Musical Director and Musical Supervisor West End), Killing Rasputin (Musical Supervisor, Arranger and Vocal Arrangements Off-West End), The Far Pavilions (Musical Supervisor, Arranger and Vocal Arrangements West End), Candide (Musical Supervisor and Orchestrator Wermland Opera), Philip Quast At The Donmar (Musical Supervisor Donmar Warehouse), A Little Night Music (Musical Director, Royal Academy of Music), Rue Magique (Musical Supervisor, Arranger and Vocal Arrangements Off-West End), X — The Musical (Musical Supervisor, Musical Director and Vocal Arrangements London), Porgy And Bess The Musical (Original Musical Director West End), Company (Musical Director, Royal Academy of Music), Gone With The Wind (Original Musical Director West End), Sunset Boulevard (Musical Supervisor, Orchestrator and Musical Director of new productions for Wermland Opera and Gothenburg Opera) and Crazy For You (Musical Supervisor, Orchestrator and Musical Director of new production for Wermland Opera). He is currently working on a new musical From Here To Eternity by Tim Rice and Stuart Brayson and is Guest Conductor of the London production of Disney's The Lion King.

David teaches on the Musical Theatre Course at the Royal Academy of Music, where he was made a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music for his contribution to the world of musical theatre.
