Soprano Camilla Harris is in her second year of Royal Academy Opera and is studying with Raymond Connell and Jonathan Papp

She is a Bicentenary Scholar supported by Amit and Ingrid De and the Rothschild Foundation, and also receives support from the Josephine Baker Trust. She is a Britten-Pears Young Artist and member of the Academy’s Song Circle. In 2019, she graduated with Distinction from the MPerf course at the Royal College of Music.

Recent roles include Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, La Comtesse in Chérubin and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (Royal Academy Opera), Suzanne in Robinson Crusoe and First Bridesmaid in The Marriage of Figaro (Royal College of Music International Opera School), and Israelite Woman in Esther (Wigmore Hall). Camilla was a chorus member for the Glyndebourne Festival 2019. She was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Kathleen Ferrier Awards, and a prizewinner and finalist in the Mozart Singing Competition in 2019.

Camilla is excited to record a recital programme based on the theme 'Songs of Love and Longing' for Linn Records in June as part of her scholarship at the Academy.
