This year we hosted an in-person open day on 11 November.
The Academy’s doctoral programme provides a framework for developing long-term projects that will drive distinctive careers, and a collaborative environment for musicians to share and critique working practices. It is also an important research and development engine for the Academy’s taught programmes.
This symposium showcases a small selection of current projects, encompassing aspects of artistry and professional/instrumental development, engagement with programming practices, and exploration of creative processes. The symposium begins with introductions to the Academy's doctoral environment and concludes with an open discussion about the nature of the programme.
