Portrait of Arnold Dolmetsch. Face, bearded and with long hair, looking down. The four small images in the corners comprise the sitter's hands on a recorder, lower left; lower right - a clavichord inscribed 'Arnold Dolmetsch fecit' and 'Plus Fait Douceur Que Violence' in the lid of the instrument; upper right - two hands, one bowing a viola da gamba, and a scroll neck, upper left, signed in the print 'Kapp'. Print of an ink drawing by Edmond Kapp, with a thick keyline. The original drawing is reproduced opposite p5 in the book by Kapp's wife, Yvonne Cloud (Yvonne Kapp), called 'Pastiche: a music-room book', published 1926.
