Description
The one-piece back and the head are made from plain, slab-cut maple and the ribs are made from quarter-cut maple with a broader flame. The table is made from two unmatching wedges of quarter-cut, medium-grained spruce.

The instrument is coated with a red translucent varnish. A modern neck is grafted to the head and the violin has modern fittings.

The label states:
'Hieronymus Amatus Cremonen.
Nicolai figlius fecit 1719'
