Historical Performance alumni

Joseph Crouch (Graduated 2000): principal cellist with the Academy of Ancient Music, The English Concert, The Sixteen and a research fellowship at Southampton.

Sarah McMahon (Graduated 2001): principal cellist with the Irish Baroque Orchestra, Academy of Ancient Music and Camerata Kilkenny.

Richard Sweeney (Graduated 2002): extensive performance experience, including The Kings Consort, Early Opera Company, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Academy of Ancient Music, English Concert, I Fagiolini, Les Talens Lyriques, Concerto Palatino, Irish Baroque Orchestra and Sonnerie.

Sarah Moffatt (Graduated 2002): co-director of the ensembles Capilla Cayrasco and Camerata Cayrasco, specialising in Spanish music. She appears regularly as concerto soloist with the Feinstein Ensemble, and is a member of the New London Consort chamber ensemble.

Frances Norbury (Graduated 2002): plays regularly with The King’s Consort, Dunedin Consort, Arcangelo, The Sixteen, Brecon Baroque, Florilegium, Barokkanerne and The Gabrieli Consort.

Sarah Sexton (Graduated 2002): performs regularly with The King’s Consort, The Sixteen and the Classical Opera Company.  She has also performed as guest leader of the Sixteen and the Irish Baroque Orchestra.

Huw Daniel (Graduated 2003): member of the Irish Baroque Orchestra and the English Concert.

Alfonso Leal Del Ojo (Graduated 2004): Chief Executive at Dunedin Consort & Players.

Joel Raymond (Graduated 2004): is a regular performer with The Hannover Band and a member of The Oboe Band.

Pawel Siwczak (Graduated 2008): harpsichord & fortepiano soloist, also performed with orchestras such as Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Gabrieli Consort & Players, The King’s Consort, Retrospect Ensemble, BBC Philharmonic, Northern Sinfonia and Britten Sinfonia.

Chris Bucknall (Graduated 2008): conducted performances in the Wigmore Hall and The Norwegian National Opera alongside performing keyboard concertos and chamber music throughout the UK and Europe.

Rachel Chaplin (Graduated 2010): Academic studies lecturer at the Academy.

Emily Ashton: performed with many period instrument groups, including the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Academy of Ancient Music, Orchestra of the Sixteen, Gabrieli Consort and Dunedin Consort.

Tom Foster (Graduated 2011): Musical Director for Opera Settecento.
