Choral Conducting: your experience

Our students come from all over the world to train as professional choral conductors, capable of working with choirs in a range of contexts. Students observe and work with a variety of choral groups - and on a wide range of repertoire – taking advantage of the outstandingly wide range of opportunities that London offers.

The modern British choral tradition (both English and Latin) is taken as the practical and stylistic basis for exploration of a broad sweep of European sacred repertoire, related secular music and historically informed approaches to performance.

Our professors include internationally renowned choral conductors and celebrated pedagogues.  With expertise in conducting, rehearsal and baton technique, sacred and secular choral music, vocal technique and aural skills, the team of professors in the Choral Conducting Faculty have the knowledge and experience to equip you for active and diverse careers.
