Has played for all the leading orchestras in the UK

Keith has been professor of piccolo at the Academy since 1992 and took up the post of Head of Woodwind as of 2002. Principal Piccolo of the Philharmonia Orchestra since 1982, and Chairman of the Philharmonia from 1990 to 2005, he has performed with all the major London orchestras.

He was a founder member of the Elysian Wind Quintet, the leading British ensemble of its kind for over twenty years, which performed at major festivals all over Europe and developed a formidable reputation in contemporary music.

Keith studied with Judith Pearce, then William Bennett at the Guildhall School of Music and in Paris with Maxence Larrieu.
