Principal clarinet with the London Symphony Orchestra and Academy of St Martin in the Fields

Soloist and chamber musician who has recorded the core clarinet repertoire for major labels

Andrew has toured the world as a soloist, chamber musician and as Principal clarinet for the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, performing concertos with conductors such as Leonard Bernstein, Sir Colin Davis, Richard Hickox, Antonio Pappano, André Previn, Mstislav Rostropovich, Michael Tilson Thomas and Sir Neville Marriner. He is a member of both the LSO and Academy of St Martin in the Fields chamber ensembles and has also performed with the Chilingirian, Lindsay, Endellion, Moscow, Warsaw, Orlando, Sine Nomine and Belcea string quartets, as well as with individuals such as Alfred Brendel, Andre Previn, Andras Schiff, Lynn Harrell, Stephen Isserlis, Emmanuel Ax, the late Sandor Vegh, Manoug Parikian, Vlado Perlemuter and George Malcolm.

Alongside regular broadcasts for the BBC, Andrew has also recorded the core clarinet repertoire for Philips, EMI, Chandos, and Collins Classics, and a recording of the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with his father, Sir Neville Marriner, for Pentatone Classics. He is also much in demand as a teacher and is a Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music.
