Academy professors Pamela Thorby (recorder) and Elizabeth Kenny (lute) will be joined by Academy alumna Alison McGillivray (viola de gamba) at a special evening of live music at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday 31st March 2015.

The performance will be recorded for BBC Radio 3’s Early Music Show, presented by Lucie Skeaping, in the beautiful surroundings of The Queen's Gallery.

Before the concert, the audience will enjoy a private view of ‘Painting Paradise: The Art of the Garden’, with an insight into some of the items on display from exhibition curator Vanessa Remington.

The programme will be broadcast at 2pm on Sunday 5th April 2015 on BBC Radio 3.

This recording at Buckingham Palace is an annual event in the Early Music Show’s schedule. The performer in 2014 was another Academy professor, keyboard player Carole Cerasi.
