The Royal Academy of Music’s Musical Theatre summer show, Amour, has been nominated in multiple categories at Broadway World UK/ West End Awards. The UK premiere of this wonderful music fantasy was performed by Academy’s Musical Theatre Company and Orchestra in June 2015.

Based on an original short story by Marcel Aymé, this musical was first produced on Broadway and features sumptuous songs written by Academy Award-winning composer Michel Legrand. Set in Paris after the Second World War, the story is about an ordinary office clerk who develops a power which enables him to change his life and the lives of others.

‘The Royal Academy of Music has made a feature out of giving lesser known and quirky musicals a fresh, high quality airing, and this year they’ve done it again.  The ‘Amour’ is most certainly requited!’, wrote blogger rageoffstage after seeing the production.
