Professor Jonathan Freeman-Attwood, Principal of the Royal Academy of Music, has been awarded a CBE in recognition of his services to music in the 2018 New Year Honours.

Jonathan has been central to the transformation of the Royal Academy of Music as a member of staff for nearly 30 years – the last 25 in senior management roles and the last 10 as Principal.

The honour also acknowledges his activity as a producer of over 250 commercial recordings, his release of 10 solo trumpet albums and his miscellaneous writing and broadcasting work during this time.
