The Academy promotes an inclusive working and learning environment in which students, staff and visitors are supported and welcomed.

Everyone working and studying at the Academy is selected, taught, trained, assessed, appraised, promoted and otherwise treated solely on merit and ability. Equity is at the core of our values, underpinning all our activities.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Policy

Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Policy can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. The document sets out the Academy's values and the framework of the framework of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in which we operate.

It also highlights the individual roles we each have to play in ensuring the Academy is an inclusive and harmonious place to study and work.

Please see our equality objectives page for more information.

Annual report

Every year we evaluate how we have performed against our equality objectives and produce an annual report, which can be downloaded below.

The report reflects on activities and updates since the last report, reviews how we are meeting the Equality Act 2010, and monitors applicant, student and staff equality data.

Access and disability

Please see our access and disability page for information about the types of support available to students with learning difficulties and disabilities.

The Academy is fully accessible for staff, students and visitors - the 'Access to the Academy' page has more information.

Documents with more information for disabled students and with details about access to our buildings can be found below.
