Equality monitoring

Monitoring and Consultation

The Academy requests equality information as part of its monitoring of achievements and objectives in the area of equality and diversity. We review monitoring data on an annual basis.

Staff monitoring

We do not make it mandatory for applicants and current staff to provide equality information. However, any information provided is extremely useful in the monitoring and continual improvement of our recruitment procedures to ensure they remain fair and robust.

Equal opportunities for job applicants

On receipt of the Academy application form, the Equal Opportunities page is detached and information kept separately and securely. This means that the recruitment panel do not see the equality information and that appointment decisions are made based on the merits of the candidates solely in relation to the skills, experience and attributes required for the role.

If you are disabled or have certain medical conditions, we encourage you to indicate this on the Equal Opportunities form. We will then able to ask whether you require any reasonable adjustments or support during the interview process and, if you are successful, in your subsequent appointment into the role.

Your views are important to us. We regularly consult with our staff and students, whose opinions help to determine our equality action plans.
