Following an introduction by Head of Conducting Sian Edwards, Academy conducting students demonstrate how they prepare scores and develop their skills. The music featured will include Brahms’s Variations on a Theme of Haydn and Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune. There will also be an opportunity for participants to conduct a variation of their choice from Brahms’s work at the end of the morning session; please email the address above if you want to take part.
