Jazz

For many years, the Academy has produced the most outstanding array of exciting, versatile, creative and employable musicians to emerge on to the jazz scene.

We offer a supportive environment in which to learn and experiment with this extremely broad art form. We encourage our students to find their own creative voice and equip them with the skills needed to enable them to pursue a future as working jazz musicians.

At the Academy we offer Principal Study to both undergraduate and postgraduate jazz musicians on:

Piano | Saxophone | Trumpet | Trombone | Guitar | Bass (Electric and Acoustic) | Drum Kit | Voice | Vibraphone

We do accept applications for other instruments as well – if you are interested in studying jazz at the Academy and do not see your instrument listed above, please contact the jazz department administrator.
