"Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by musicians of all kinds: a large part of my professional life has been spent photographing them. Music is ubiquitous. I've photographed people playing and singing in concert halls, on the streets, in the Underground, even behind ruined temples in the Cambodian jungle. The early orchestral photography shown here originates from a twelve-year stint as photographer to the Louisville Orchestra. Recently, I have been privileged to work with classical musicians in London and Ankara. The images in this exhibition are a small sample of the musicians I have met and captured in my little black box over many years, and of the sounds I have been privileged to hear."
