Open Days

Most departments have an open day between September and November. 

Audition Date
Candidates auditioning in the December session in London are sent details of their audition date and time in early November. Please see key application dates on the relevant department pages.

International Candidates
If you do not hold an EU or EEA passport and are travelling here from outside the UK, you will probably need to have a Visitor visa to attend the audition.

If you will need an invitation letter from the Academy to get this visa, please contact admissions@ram.ac.uk – a letter will be issued after we have received your complete application including payment of the application fee, and it will be sent to you by International Recorded Delivery. If you request courier delivery, you will need to pay the Academy the delivery charge for this.

Rehearsing
Audition candidates are all allocated a practice time immediately before their audition, normally this will be for the same length of time as the audition itself.

The Academy is not able to offer additional practice facilities before the allocated warm-up time, because the building is in full use by current students (during term time) or by other audition candidates (during the audition session).

However, there are a number of commercial providers of practice facilities:
