The Academy's new creative technology laboratory, opened in 2004 and further expanded since then, consists of state of the art editing equipment that enhances the whole technology teaching programme at the Academy and places it at the forefront of the electronic music-making industry. New recording equipment and tools have also been installed. The lab is for everyone — it supports the Academy’s e-learning programme and provides facilities for staff and students to capture live events, research and teaching programmes.
The Creative Technology Lab, e-learning, and the Academy's museum are grateful for funding from the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF II), Arts and Humanties Research Board, The Lucille Graham Trust and Science Research Investment Fund (SCRIF).
