Helen Grime appointed Professor of Composition

The Royal Academy of Music is delighted to announce composer Helen Grime as a new Professor of Composition. Helen is one of the UK’s most distinguished compositional voices and her accolades include a British Composer Award, a Bernstein Fellowship and residencies with Wigmore Hall and the Hallé. Helen’s new commission for the London Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Sir Simon Rattle in 2018.

Head of Composition Philip Cashian said: 'I'm thrilled that Helen is joining our staff. Her flair and mastery as a composer combined with her experience in teaching will be a great addition to the department'
