Hiring our venues

The Royal Academy of Music’s facilities are available for hire by external users.

Subject to availability, a variety of rooms and halls can be rented out for suitable musical activities – most commonly auditions, music-based workshops, recitals or concerts outside of the Academy’s term time. This is usually for a few weeks over the Easter break and during July into the beginning of August. During the Academy’s term, some facilities may be available to hire on Sundays but not on any other days.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the redevelopment of the Academy’s theatre, construction work will affect all areas of the Academy from Easter 2015 to Summer 2017. Consequently we regret that we will be unable to offer any facilities for external hire during this period, either during term time or in the holidays, while we work on this exciting project. Hire enquiries for October 2017 onwards will be taken from the spring term of 2017, as we approach the final stages of the Theatre Redevelopment project.

Hire rates vary depending on the type of facilities required and on the kind of event.

We regret that we are unable to offer any rooms for private practice or tuition, or for private receptions and functions: you could try these other practice facilities in London.

Due to the Academy’s constantly busy schedule, general site visits to view our facilities can be difficult to arrange. We do, however, have a virtual tour on this website.

For further details and availability please email venuehire@ram.ac.uk giving details of the kind of event you are looking to hold and some suggested dates or times of year. We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible.
